Aiden Precision Coffee Maker: what's in the box, filters, dimensions, and care
Fellow's documented facts on Aiden — box contents, #2 cone and 8–12 cup batch filters, exact dimensions and clearance, cleaning and descaling, and what the app actually requires.
Every fact below is from Fellow's official documentation (help center and store), verified 2026-09-24. We claim no hands-on testing.
What comes in the box
Aiden ships with the brewer, a thermal carafe, single-serve and batch filter baskets, a removable water tank, a 15-pack of single-serve filters, a 15-pack of batch filters, a Safety Manual, and a Get to Know You Guide.
Filters
- Single-serve basket: standard #2 cone filters.
- Batch basket: standard 8–12 cup batch filters.
- Fellow sells its own Aiden brew filters; #2 and 8–12 cup filters from any brand work.
- Reusable option: Fellow tested and documents a metal filter that works inside the batch basket. There is no reusable option documented for the single-serve basket.
Dimensions and clearance
- Footprint 8.94 × 8.94 in (227 × 227 mm), height 12 in (305 mm), 18.5 in (470 mm) with the lid open, weight 9.6 lbs.
- With 16 cm of clearance below the spout, Aiden brews directly into household mugs — Fellow documents the 8 & 12 oz Carter Move, 12 & 16 oz Carter Wide, Mighty Small Carafe, Stagg Tasting Glasses, Monty, and Joey mugs.
- Batch brewing must go into the included Fellow thermal carafe — Fellow requires it to protect against overflow.
- Cord length: 39 in / 990.6 mm. (An earlier version of this record carried 965.2 mm, a conversion error corrected against the 39 in figure; the metric equivalent is queued for re-verification against the printed spec sheet.)
Cleaning and descaling
- Only the two brew baskets are dishwasher safe.
- The carafe's wide mouth makes it easy to hand-wash; the showerhead and water tank are removable and hand-washable.
- Aiden has a built-in descaling cycle and prompts you when it's needed.
The app
The Fellow – Brew with Aiden app (iOS, Android) is required only for presale customers loading the brew profiles for their exclusive coffees. Otherwise the machine brews standalone; the app adds creating, sharing, and receiving custom Brew Profiles. Fellow documents connection statuses and firmware updates in its help center.
Where it fits
Aiden is the batch-brew arm of a Fellow setup — it complements a gooseneck kettle for manual brewing and needs a grinder. For single-cup precision at lower cost, a dripper plus a scale covers a narrower slice of the same job.
