De'Longhi sells two slim Dedica semi-automatics. The choice is really about milk and control.

The decision
- You want to practice milk texturing by hand — the DeLuxe's manual wand is the tool; the Maestro's automation removes exactly that skill.
- You want repeatable microfoam without practice — the Maestro's 3×3 temperature/texture matrix does it automatically, including with milk alternatives (manufacturer-documented).
- You grind fresh and dose big — the Maestro's 20 g double-wall-plus-single-wall basket set and Active Temperature Control are aimed at 3rd-wave-style dialing-in. The DeLuxe's 51 mm pressurized-class baskets are more forgiving but less adjustable.
- Availability — at check time the DeLuxe was notify-only at both the manufacturer and its specialist retailer; the Maestro was in stock.
Both are thermoblock machines with auto stand-by, descaling alarms and removable dishwasher-safe drip trays. Neither has a display. All figures from manufacturer pages and specialist corroboration, checked 2026-09-22.
